The answer to both questions is true! There is no doubt that lifestyle and lack of nutrition (malnutrition) has a great share in causing hair loss.

Malnutrition and the modern diet considered as the main cause of hair loss, including on which :

  1. Raw leafy greens absent in most diets.
  2. Purification of the grain decreased the content of vitamin B.
  3. Over cooking of vegetables destroys vitamin B
  4. Stimulants such as alcohol, nicotene and caffeine that inhibits the absorption of essential nutrients into the body.
  5. Excessive salt intake can encourage hair loss because of the tendency to accumulate in tissues.
  6. Low fiber intake inhibits digestion thus reducing the body’s ability to provide nutrients to the bloodstream.
  7. Vitamins consumed frequently re-directed to facilitate the digestion of carbohydrates such as sugars and nutrient sterile white flour.

It is clear that malnutrition is a major cause of hair loss, due to the nutrients in the body is not properly distributed from the hierarchy of vital organs to the hair. Improved nutrition will not likely generate new hair growth but will only reduce hair loss and a special treatment to stimulate regrowth of new hair.
